Program levels

We offer a structured pathway of training programs, each designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective crisis intervention. From introductory overviews to advanced specialization, our levels ensure you are prepared to navigate any situation with confidence and compassion.

Orientation: Crisis compass primer (90 min)

Audience: Anyone new.
Outcomes: Vocabulary, roles, how the manual works.
Credential: Attendance record (no exam).
Prerequisite: None.

Lay person essentials (4 hrs or 2×2 hrs)

Audience: Greeters, small-group leaders, prayer/youth volunteers.
Outcomes: Recognize, Ask, Listen, Keep Safe, Warm Handoff; Safety Plan basics.
Assessment: 10-item quiz + observed “ask & handoff.”
Credential: Essentials Certificate (valid 1 year).
Prerequisite: None.

Ministry leader intensive (6.5 hrs)

Audience: Pastors, elders, directors, youth leads.
Outcomes: Run protocols, oversee documentation, build referral network, lead postvention.
Assessment: 20-item quiz + draft referral map + postvention note.
Credential: Leader Certificate (valid 2 years).
Prerequisite: Essentials (or equivalent).

Whole-manual class (8 hrs or 4×2 hrs)

Audience: Mixed cohort (lay + leaders + students).
Outcomes: Walk every section of the manual, complete core templates (Safety Plan, Quick Reference, Debrief, Postvention).
Credential: Counts as Essentials; if leader assignments are completed, also satisfies Leader.
Prerequisite: None.

Postvention specialist (3–4 hrs add-on)

Audience: Communications leads, pastors, media/usher teams.
Outcomes: First 48-hour plan, service-weekend messaging, contagion guardrails, family liaison.
Credential: Postvention Badge (refresh with Leader recert).
Prerequisite: Essentials.

Semester student (coordinator prep) (12 weeks, 90–120 min/wk + practicum)

Audience: Interns, institute/seminary students, future site coordinators.
Outcomes: Facilitation, scenario design, QI/metrics, digital rollout; portfolio + tabletop.
Assessment: Capstone drill + portfolio review.
Credential: Coordinator Certificate (valid 2 years).
Prerequisite: Essentials (recommended: Leader).

Train-the-trainer certification (12 hrs over 1–2 days)

Audience: Regional multipliers.
Outcomes: Trauma-aware facilitation, skills stations, rubrics, teach-backs, fidelity.
Assessment: ≥80% quiz + “Meets” on teach-back rubric + signed covenant.
Credential: Certified Trainer (valid 2 years).
Prerequisite: Coordinator + observed co-teach.

Recert & qa

Essentials Recert (1.5–2 hrs, yearly): ask/hand-off check + mini-quiz.
Leader/Coordinator Recert (3 hrs, every 2 yrs): tabletop + docs audit + KPI review.
Trainer Calibration (annual, 2–3 hrs): rubric alignment + scenario updates.
